About Leanne Empson…..

You could say paper runs deep in my veins, as my grandparents and parents ran and owned a commercial printing business as well as the owners of my home town newspaper, the Te Puke Times since 1950, so I grew up with the smell of paper and to this day still love the smell of paper, so it is only fitting that I’m pretty excited to have bought (as of August 1st 2015) and be working with beautiful paper that is used to create these beautiful handmade ceramic hearts, called lotsoflove that my friend Kim Devcich started five years ago as a home based business and now has thirty stockists throughout New Zealand. I have long admired Kim and this beautiful business, so felt very privileged and excited that she wanted to hand over the reigns to myself .

I adore all things art, having sold quite a few of my own original artworks, and another love, painting on real life canvas in doing bridal and glamour make overs and also hand writing calligraphy style on wedding invitations and certificates. I also have a real passion for interior design so this business fits right into that category, as they just look stunning in any style home as the range seems to cater for all tastes.
I’m particularly fond of the “Mountie” range as like Kim, I also grew up and live in the beautiful Bay of Plenty and have very fond memories of camping and sunbathing as a teenager with my friends on beautiful Mount Maunganui  beach! And still feel very lucky it is only a stones throw from my home town.
I’m wanting just to continue adding to the already beautiful existing range, so will be keeping a keen eye out for new trends as well as my love for all things vintage and French inspired shabby chic.
Be aware that each and every piece is crafted by hand so any slight irregularities just adds to the beautiful charm of each finished piece.
In this mass produced world I think anything handmade is pretty special.
